Storyboarding Multimedia

-What is a storyboard?
A storyboard is a plan for teaching and learning activities. For example, one can use visual aids, audio voices, and videos.

-What are the advantages of using storyboarding?
Some advantages to storyboarding are that they help show the "total content" of the program. Also by using storyboards, problems with the program can be spotted more easily, which will save time and money in the long run.
Storyboarding also helps speed up the Content-writing phase because this phase is the most unpredictable. Storyboarding helps the creator view the project as a whole (a bigger picture) rather than several different pieces of the program.
Beware:
Storyboarding is not a substitute for paper-based documentation. It's more of an aid to help better your program (lesson) and helps you sort out the kinks before you present the program/lesson.

I really like the idea of using storyboarding in the classroom because it helps teacher look at the bigger picture, helps sort out the problems with the lesson before its given, and it also adds another dimension to teaching with technology.

This article was short and simple. Good job! I liked it that you guys defined what a storyboard was and added an example of it. I also like it that teachers can use it to see the bigger and better picture of the story. Its a good way to keep the classroom interacted.

Even though this article was a bit short, they did a great job of explaining what exactly storyboarding is and also the pros and cons of it. I also really like the color scheme of the background.

Your article gave me an appreciation for the work involved in creating large multidisciplinary productions for TV and film. I had never heard of Hypercard and now I know that it was the first widely used authoring tool for the Mac.

The storyboarding graphic in your blog was a great example for me to see. I could create a storyboard like this one because it doesn't require the skills of an artist. The graphic illustrates the organization and direction that comes from creating a storyboard.

Stating that storyboards show the "total content" was a good description of a storyboard. Also, it was informative to say that storyboards give an opportunity to view the lesson as a whole, or a big picture. The picture was a good visual and fit the topic well.

I also enjoyed the picture, it added a lot to your description of storyboarding. I also agreed that it is not a substitute for pen and paper, but rather an aid. Good job!

Love the article and how it was straight forward. The part about beware was very important because I think teachers have leaned on resources such as storyboards to replace actually teaching.

I like your blog. It is short but it explains storyboards well and sometimes short and to the point is better than a long explanation.
